how can I stop when I am disassociating? I try to stay in the present and its so hard. how do I stay in the present? any tips? its so scary for me

I am unsure honey because it was a 20 year process for me. Therapy, journaling and travel helped me the most. When I was not integrated there was no stopping it. But with the right help and guidance and prayer you will carry on. xo

someone on one of the groups on facebook suggested that i carry around a "safety bag" with things that help me stay grounded and it has been helping me...i have a lavendar scented stress thing, a small stuffed animal, some cinnamon gum, an mp3 player with my favorite music on it and some of my favorite pictures
